Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM) is calling on our alumni, students, employees and friends to join donors around the world as we celebrate #GivingTuesday. We're counting on your charitable contributions and social media savvy to raise funds and create awareness around scholarship on December 3, 2019. December is “the” most charitable giving month of the year and kicks off this year's season of giving.
So we’re inviting you to join us in the NCPC atrium on December 3, from 12pm-1:30pm for #GivingTuesday. The office of Alumni and Constituent engagement will provide a “FREE” lunch, great music, a photo booth and MSM trivia. When you make a gift in recognition of #GivingTuesday, you will also be entered into a raffle for cool MSM swag, and door prizes. Share your support for MSM across your social media platforms using the hashtag #GivingTuesday and earn a chance for you and a friend to receive a mystery prize. Remember, no gift is too small or too big because our collective giving makes a significant impact for MSM students.
People often ask how smaller contributions can make a difference. When combined, your gift along with the gifts of friends and family can be very impactful. Investment at all levels helps provide the financial support our students need and deserve.
Recognized as the top medical school in the nation fulfilling its social mission, Morehouse School of Medicine awarded $2.8 million in scholarships last year. Your $100 contribution ensures MSM continues to deliver on its mission.
The average medical school debt is approximately $190,000, but for many MSM graduates, that burden is closer to $250,000. Your gift of $250 serves as a commitment to helping our students reduce that debt load and bridge the gap.
MSM students are educated to be healthcare leaders who are fluent in community-focused health practice, particularly in underserved communities. Your gift of $500 will empower our future policy makers and health practitioners as they follow their dreams in support of our social mission.
A minimum gift of $1,000 will grant you access to MSM’s exclusive giving society, the Hugh M. Gloster Society, named in honor of one of MSM's esteemed founders and the late president of Morehouse College. As a $1,000 contributor, you will receive a Gloster welcome packet, lapel pin, a copy of our MSM annual report, and a special invitation to the annual Hugh M. Gloster Society Dinner Celebration.
