Georgia consistently ranks among the bottom 10 states for the number of mothers who die during childbirth. According to Georgia’s Department of Public Health, 70% of Georgia's maternal deaths from 2012 to 2016 were preventable. The maternal mortality and morbidity crisis impacts all of us.
